I am a 5th generation descendent of the Kenny-Cavanaugh-Hoban-Foley families from Ireland and Western Maryland; and the Humberstone-Winebrenner-Anderson families, long-time residents of that same Western Maryland/Pennsylvania area.
My main genealogy interest is compiling as many documents, pictures, and anecdotes about my Western Maryland ancestors as I can, and then ‘writing a family chronicle.’
I’m inspired by the Kevin Welch quote…"There'll be two dates on your tombstone. And all your friends will read 'em. But all that's gonna matter is that little dash between 'em."
And that’s what I’m after…discovering and filling-in ‘that dash’ for my ancestors so that my children and their children will connect across generations to people not just to dates.
