September 2026:
I am dedicating my profile efforts to both my sisters in their 90s, and they are living in Vermont. I was born on a farm in Vermont in 1955. I am the baby brother of both the Potwin & Heath family. I had a different mother from the Potwin side and a different father from the Heath side.
I have visited many of my family ancestors graves over the years. This was a thing I was taught by my mom. I still visit many of my family & friends graves to this day, and always will.
Recent research has my visit areas expanding as I find where many of my family, especially parents & siblings. The one farthest away has been (Earle) Prescott AZ and closest to me (Charlie) Smyrna DE.
I try to make my visits special for me and those I respectfully visit. I have sat at my mom & dad's graves playing my dad's favorite comedy The Long Long Trailer with Lucille Ball & Desi Arnaz. I recorded my mom's cemetery gravesite service run by my 2nd cousin Robert. I played the resulting DVD I made at my Uncle Ray's grave to keep him updated. I took sod from my dad's grave in Windsor VT and took it to Earle in Prescott AZ and vice-versa with some of Earle's sod. I did the same with my mom's sod in Windsor VT with her parents, aunt and grandparents in Goshen NH. To this day I honor my great-grandfather's grave with red, white & blue flowers and Civil War memorabilia such as the 20th & 25th National Civil War Museum (NCWM) bricks I place next to his gravestone. Also a personal 8"x8" brick placed at the NCWM Walk of Valor next to the NH State stone and behind the NCWM Friendship Walkway. I also placed the same brick on his grave and it and the 25th Anniversary NCWM brick will be placed it a location selected by the town of Goshen NH,
My family and I now live in North Carolina. In 2019-2023 moved to Wendell NC then in 2023-present we moved to Louisburg Both my sons already lived in NC for years. I do visit local cemeteries and try to take requested pictures and also try to mark the GPS coordinates built into the Find-A-Grave app.
