I have collected as much information as is possible from the WW1 and WW2 casualties from the Outer Hebrides, and published it on-line. I have photographed all CWGC and private wargraves in the islands, as well as the more than 15 war memorials in Lewis and Harris. As a Dutchman, I honour the sacrifice made by Allied servicemen (among them many British, including Hebrideans) who helped to liberate the Netherlands from the occupation by Nazi Germany during the Second World War.

As of 2025/2026, I am uploading photographs, transcripts of names and inscription of all memorials in New Sandwick Cemetery near Stornoway.

I hope to be able to extend this work to all cemeteries in Na h-Eileanan an Iar - the Western Isles.
