I have been researching my ancestors since the age of 25 (45 years). I find it to be very rewarding. Currently I am focusing on finding the evidence needed to prove the parentage of two of my 3rd great-grandmothers for Daughters of the American Revolution submission.
Priscilla Hahn Killian, born in 1816 - died after Jun 1880; daughter of John Hahn Sr and Anna Elizabeth Bollinger.
Mary Caroline Capehart Besher, born 22 Oct 1813- died 22 Jan 1892; daughter of Hugh Capehart and Eliza D Meroney.
Both women had long-term ties to the Bollinger County, Missouri area. I am looking for anything that would prove they were the children of the parents listed above. A death certificate for Priscilla listing her parents names would be ideal. Mary Caroline's death certificate has the wrong name listed for her father. So any kind of document indicating the names of either of these women's parents would be accepted as proof. Any family pictures that show these women with their parents and identify them would also be accepted. Any personal letters mentioning their parents or addressed to them would be also be acceptable proof. Any help would be appreciated.
