I've been researching Reed, Verchot, Huey & Milstead/Millstead families,
related ancestors (e.g. Laird, Hamaker, Lacy, Hood, Cargile, Riggin, Thompson in Jefferson Co., AL and Cardin, Price, Robertson, Leonard in Shelby Co., AL)
and other distantly-related and not-related families of west Jefferson County (west of Birmingham), Alabama since 1977.
I've been helping my wife research her family lines (Benson & Slade in Michigan & New York; Hastings, Grother, Parker, Wilson, Eddins of south Alabama back to GA, TN & SC).
