I have been researching my genealogy for nearly 30 years now, but am just now contributing to my family members Find a Grave memorial pages.
The pages that I manage are either directly related to me, or by marriage. If you have a closer relationship or connection to any of the individual pages that I manage and would like to manage it yourself, please reach out and we'll work it out.
Some of the surnames that are in my tree are: Swanson, Moorehead, Clark, Klye, Johnstone, Payne and McGilvra.
My Klye branch immigrated to Australia from Prussia. When my branch came to America, it was changed at some point to Clark.
My Johnstone branch is from South Africa and is somewhat of a brick wall for me any further back, but Denmark is suspected.
My Swanson branch is from Sweden (where they were Svensson).
My McGilvra branch is based in southern Michigan, but has spread all over the country. Research goes back to two McGillivray brothers being conscripted by the British to fight in the Revolutionary War. After the war, the brothers stayed in America with their spouses.
