I was born in Salt Lake City, UT and raised in Murray, UT. I lived in Murray for 24 years and have since lived in Salt Lake City, Taylorsville, South Ogden, and now Vernal, UT with my wife, her two daughters, and our one daughter we have together. I also have two sons from my previous marriage who live in West Valley City, UT with their mother.
I'm the youngest of five children and the only boy. My father, John Emanuel Sturm (Find A Grave Memorial# 99744327), was killed in a car accident three months before I was born, which helped create an interest in genealogy and family history right from the start. I've researched both sides of my family (Sturm on my dad's side, Delaney on my mom's) and also claim ancestry with Schloz/Scholz, Lamper, Losser, Hone, Taylor, Nottage lines. My wife, Sarah K Allen Sturm, grew up in Ogden and Morgan (Peterson), UT and shares ancestry with the Allen and Butler lines.
I love researching family history and sharing what I have, in addition to finding long-lost relatives, both living and deceased. I've created and maintain three family history groups on Facebook in hopes of finding relatives looking to share the same information, just search for any of the following:
