My name is Denise. I remember as a little girl that I always thought cemeteries were so beautiful with all of the flowers and received much ridicule from my siblings. Who was to know that as I got older I would love to going to the older cemeteries. I also enjoyed history in school so put the two together and a passion for finding my family roots has bloomed. While working on my family tree I have found Find A Grave so helpful in making connections and even providing some history.

My husband and I have been known to stop and walk the older graveyards. I really wish the people resting there could tell a story. I have never documented any of the pictures, but I am starting to do so now.
