I've done genealogy for years, so I pretty much know that records can be wrong . So that being said . All indexes are transcribed and can be wrong that when it fall on the genealogist to make sure it's right . I've also found it in writing some mistakes happen when the records is copied from the original ,perhaps to a statewide index . That would come in with someone that knows the family .
