I'm a retired professional from the world of banking and finance. I also had a great 2nd career as a graduate student in the History Department at The Ohio State University, where I studied the development of capitalism in the "Old Northwest" in the years between the Revolution and the Civil War. I'm also a lifelong genealogist, and it's exciting to tap into resources that certainly didn't exist when I first got 'hooked' 30+ years ago. But some things never change: even with all the new tools and access to vast databases, and despite the ugliness of social media, genealogists are still the most friendly and collaborative people in the world!!
