I do this in honor of my Father and Mother who did their very best to make sure their four daughters got to know and spend time with all of their Alabama Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles, and layers of cousins, even though we lived far away.
I have four children myself and I want them, and their children, to be able to "find" all those who came before.
