I am known as the "family historian" for my ability to remember the stories told in the family. History is a passion for mine, and I majored in History for my college degree. I seek to verify the oral stories told about my ancestors and family, and support what I have been taught at home with historical evidence. I collect photos and other family memorabilia. I am especially interested in Folklore. I grew up with a mother having a sense of wanderlust, which I have inherited. Our family tends to have children later in life, and live nearly a century. This means my parents are from an older generation than the parents of my peers, which gives me a different perspective. I knew my great-great-aunt growing up, who was born in the 1800s, I have always respected & appreciated the past, as well as the present. I love to travel. I have lived in all parts of California, Texas, Hawaii, Georgia, and Alabama. I am a veteran of the Army as a medic, which gave me the chance to explore more of my Southern roots, as I was stationed in Texas and Georgia. Both sides of my family are deeply rooted in the South, yet I am the "Yankee of the family" and I happen to be a Yankee at heart, even though I am probably a Southern sympathizer, to a certain extent. At least I appreciate the perspective.

I am a novelist, and my hobbies include reading, researching the history of practically everything, art, music, cats, traveling (especially the USA by train!), coffee and tea. My interests are focused mainly on science and sci-fi/fantasy, folklore, and medicine. I am a student of mysticism and the occult, with a lot of life experience in dealing with the Unknown. Raised by Southern Baptist parents, I also have a solid foundation of the Bible. I consider it my duty when meeting a wandering spirit that happens to now and then cross my path to find their connection back to their loved ones, which is why I sometimes can be found wandering in local cemeteries, to find where this spirit's body was laid to rest. It is not something I do for a living...it is just something I discovered about myself as a very young child. I never contact the family, but only help to direct the spirit to find its way "home."
