After only casually exploring Find-a-Grave some 13+ years ago and a prolonged hiatus, I recently developed a renewed interest in making an effort to ensure my immediate and extended family members were included on the site.

While I will post other memorials and add photos and information to any memorial that I can, I am mainly focused on members of the familial lineage of my paternal and maternal grandparents including immediate and extended family, ancestors and descendants. Those families are the Hudnall, Siemiaczko, Scherer and Petty families that flourished in areas of West Virginia, Ohio, Virginia and Kentucky.

I have also created many Virtual Cemeteries that I fill with memorials which apply to each of them. These include, among others, my family lineages, the Charleston, WV Police Department, the Kanawha County, WV Sheriff's Office, and all 39 individual classes and faculty of DuPont High School, Belle, WV. These Virtual Cemeteries have become a satisfying additional concentration of my work on this site.

Let me say this: I am merely the caretaker of the memorials I manage. Even my family members' memorials are not "MY" memorials, as some other members I have encountered seem to think about the ones they manage. Unlike those certain managers, I do not have a list of rules for "MY" memorials. I am very receptive of suggested additions to or corrections of the memorials I manage.

That being said, I ask that you please refrain from adding photos of death certificates, as cause of death could be sensitive to family members and will allow more space for photos of markers, individuals and family. If you feel you must, please label it with the "Other" category.

I also happen to look at an obituary as the definition of a bio. I, myself, add obituaries to the bio section of memorials. If you would like to add an obituary, please take the time to transcribe it into the bio section. Please do not add photos of the obituary. This will also allow more space for photographs of markers, individuals and family.

Finally, I would also like to thank the army of photo volunteers who have already assisted me in my requests, and who provide requested photos for all members every day. You are greatly appreciated!!

I share this profile with my Mother, Jeanie. That widens the family relationship scope on some of the family memorials we manage. This will explain otherwise illogical listed relationships.
