I will transfer memorials unless they are my direct ancestors. If you have the time to research and build up their page please do not hesitate to ask. I am not concerned with owning memorials or doing detailed research on people I am not connected to.
The vast majority of memorials I have created are from the WPA cemetery surveys from the 1930s and 40s. The only information these generally contained were location, names and dates. Many of these burials have been lost or moved. Locations for smaller family plots are based on the location the WPA worker recorded at the time.
I found my great-great grandparents in the cemetery survey long before their findagrave pages were created and photographed by other gravers on here. I was so thankful someone created pages for them and then actually found the strip of forest their stones were in and I thought I'd make that first step a little easier for others.
