General Bio:

I have deep roots in the Lower/Outer Cape area of Cape Cod, and over many years of genealogical research have amassed a nice collection of local cemetery books and maps, which I utilize in my volunteer work.

Photo Requests:

If not utilizing the request feature on the memorial page, please send your gentle requests with specific burial information, such as cemetery name, plot numbers, etc.

Vague messages indicating that I've "taken pictures in that cemetery", with no other cemetery or plot identifiers, won't be taken seriously. I've taken almost 10,000 photos in at least two dozen cemeteries in 4 different states, and many cemeteries look the same. A polite message with numerous identifiers will be taken seriously. If that information is unknown, that's one thing; please indicate so. Any identifiers help and will more likely yield a result. Thank you!

Note Regarding Cove Burying Ground, Eastham, Massachusetts:

There are only ~40 confirmed burials with headstones at Cove, yet Find a Grave has 300+ burials listed with 80-odd photo requests. Could there be 300 burials there? Sure. But most burials there are unmarked. The town has no plot map for the unmarked burials, and there's no way of knowing who is buried where. Please refer to the Eastham Historical Society's 1976 publication, "Cove Burying Ground 1660-1770/Bridge Road Cemetery 1754-1886", which has the complete listings for Cove, and what I use as a guide. I will not fulfill a photo request for a non-confirmed burial at Cove.
