I am mostly interested in my parental TRAVIS family and related surnames. My brick wall is Philip TRAVIS. According to the 1830 East TN. census he was b. 1785, SOMEWHERE in VA. He mar. Polly RIANS in 1824 and Sarah MORRIS in 1836, both in Jefferson Co., TN. I can find no or little info on either of his wives. The families lived in Jefferson, Grainger, and Hamblen Counties and from there some moved to ARK, then into Texas, Oklahoma and LA.
