I am researching the WHITLEY/Wheatley family from Beaufort County, N.C. Arthur Whitley first appears in the 1790 census,but I don't know where he was before that.He is married to Sarah and has eight children:Sarah,William,Arthur,John,Jesse,Mary,Ann and Thomas. In addition,I'm researching the Boyce & Shaw familys of Charleston,S.C. James W. Shaw was born in Abernethy,Inverness,Scotland around 1816 and came to the U.S. in 1848.He is married to Elizabeth Rians and they had four daughters:Mary,Jessie Ann,Jane and Melvina all born in Charlerston,S.C. As for my ancestors that came to Sharon, Pa. from Wales I have couple of families that I'm working on, the Morgan and Williams. My ancestor David Morgan married Sarah Jones in South Wales in 1864 and had two sons born there, David and William John in 1866 and 1868 before coming to America in 1868 and having three more sons in Sharon, Pa. named Thomas, George and Charles.Sarah Jones had a sister named Ann and there father was John Jones. My Great Grandfather Thomas married a Jenny Williams in Sharon and her father was Stephen Williams and mother Sarah Evans both born in Wales. David Morgan born in Glamorgan Wales in 1840 and died in Sharon, Pa. in 1891 leaving 5 sons, a wife and a brother William K. Morgan in Sharon. His Wife died on June 16,1909 in Sharon. There first son, David, married and died in New Philadelpia,Ohio in 1917. The rest of the sons all married and died in Sharon. David Morgan's wife Sarah had a second marriage to George Jones between 1891 and 1909.Sarah's sister Ann married three times first to John Collins then to Howell Davis and last to a man with the surname Edwards.Ann died in 1892 in Mahoning County,Ohio. Any info on them would be helpful. Any information on the above families would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have.
