I'm William "Billy" James Attreed. I'm a lifelong resident of Westbrookville, NY 12785. In 2013 I was asked to join the Westbrookville Cemetery Committee here in NY, so I joined. I see in the past there was very poor records kept and how the Newest Board President is working on that issue. For myself, I'm gonna make sure from this point forward every record is very accurate and I've been 1 of the 2 on the board doing the burials starting in the Spring of 2013. As time goes along I have plans of learning what the board actually does and fixing any issues from the past. On this site I don't know how involved I will become. I do feel that it's important to remember everyone that came before me, many of which in Westbrookville are my blood lines. On my Mother's side; (listed as father/mother names) My Mother Marlene Lee (Ashworth) Roe is a (Ashworth/Schlund), my maternal/Grandparents that were VERY CLOSE TO ME AND THAT I MISS VERY MUCH are my Grandfather WILLIAM J. ASHWORTH (my namesake), he's an (Ashworth/Paterson) & my Grandmother Leona Mae (Schlund) Ashworth, she's a (Schlund/DeGroat), m/Gr-Grandparents, Albert & Jessie (Paterson) Ashworth (Ashworth/Ramsbottom)(Paterson/McFarlane) & John & Grace (DeGroat) Schlund (Schlund/Redeker)(DeGroat/DeGraw), m/Gr-Gr-Grandparents (Ashworth/ ? )(Ramsbottom/ ? ) & (Paterson/Cantley)(McFarlane/Ewing) & (Schlund/ ? )(Redeker/? ) & (DeGroat/DeGraw)(DeGraw/Wagner) and I can go back further with the help of 3 sites, this one Find A Grave & 2 others. If you need photos taken in my town, I can take them but I don't have a great means of taking photos, so the image may not be the best quality. ABOUT CREDIT: Overall, If and when I post cemetery grave stone memorial photos I don't really need credit that I took the photo, it's nice just to know that I'm helping someone connect or remember someone from the past, So those types of photos, Credit Not Required. Older photos of Portraits or People or Documents that I may post is different, I believe it might be a good idea to mention me as the one submitting the photo. For the reason, if in case someone down the road is looking for a similar photo of what or whoever I posted and they are doing research they may want to look at my larger collection of town and family photos and would help if they knew I posted it or I may know names of people they should talk to so the person researching can continue their search with helpful leads.
