I love adding Memorials to Find-A-Grave.

I add memorials to help others and to make information more accessible for families and researchers. If you discover that I have created a memorial for one of your relatives, please feel free to request a transfer—I am always happy to place close family members in the care of their relatives.

Any and all information or pictures, I have uploaded, are meant for sharing. Family memories were meant to be passed on. I just don't understand anyone that thinks different. I think if you don't want to share, than don't put them on a public site.

Please remember that it is the quality of a memorial that truly honors a life, not the quantity of memorials one manages.

Memorials Created for Non-Relatives

If you have created a memorial for someone outside your family, please listen to relatives who contact you. When a family member requests correction of inaccurate information, cooperation and kindness are usually the best path forward.

I have researched my family lines for more than 35 years and have encountered situations where simple name corrections were refused because a census record used a different spelling. There are many reliable ways to verify correct information, and families often know their relatives best. A spirit of helpfulness benefits everyone.

The vast majority of contributors are wonderful, and the time and dedication given to documenting burials is truly remarkable. Please remember to treat others with patience and understanding. Above all, God is good all the time. God bless each of you for the work you are doing.

Shrontz Cemetery (formerly Hess Cemetery)

Shrontz Cemetery was once known as the Hess Cemetery. By tracing the names buried there, it becomes clear that many of the individuals are related. Members of the Hess family have cared for the cemetery and its records for many years, continuing into the present day.

Family names I am associated with: Chipman, Cusic, Denoyer, Denton, Floyd, Graves, Hayhurst, Hays, Hess, Junker, Laking, Leinen, McGowan, Palmer, Porter, Rainford and Smith.∼
