I have been researching my family on and off since about 1999, getting more involved in 2013. I'm originally from California, and many extended family members were buried there in the San Joaquin Valley, making it difficult for me, now living in Kentucky, to visit cemeteries to get data, photos, etc. For that reason I'm very appreciative of the volunteers who are doing these memorials and taking photos for people like myself.
I like to fill in the blanks, whenever some information is missing on an individual (such as dates of birth or death, birth location, etc.). It's a challenge, and I enjoy that. I also love to link family members, to help people who are researching their or someone else's family tree.
I'm retired Air Force, and besides working on genealogy, I love to cook, bake, eat, and visit family...not necessarily in that order. :)
