Born in Athens, Texas and moved with my family in 1942 to Garland, Texas. After being in the work force for more than fifty years in a family owned business, I retired in 2004 and have enjoyed my life as a senior citizen every since.
I have been doing Family Research since 1967. Upon the death of my father at the age of 55, I began the quest to obtain a birth certificate for my mother born in Alabama, moved to Texas as a child, with both her parents and older siblings deceased, my journey began. I have enjoyed every road or path that I have traveled in my search of my family and ancestor's roots. It has been an amazing journey, exploring many new states, locating and visiting with many new family members and meeting a lot of new friends. Many changes have transpired since I began doing my genealogy research with computers, internet, cell phones and world wide interest in tracing ones roots.
