I moved with my parents and sister from Tennessee to Texas when I entered High School. We lived in Palo Pinto County, Mills County and Cameron County before I finished school. Then I worked for a while in San Antonio before I began taking college classes. I attended Texas Womens College in Denton where I met my future husband. He was attending A&M. I graduated from A&I,Kingsville, then taught in the Middle School at George West.
I married in 1951 and moved to my husband's home town of Boerne, Texas. We are still in Boerne where we raised our five sons. I taught high school math and then was Librarian at the Boerne High School until I retired in 1993.
