I initially used findagrave.com as a valuable tool in finding the graves of some of my ancestors. It wasn't until 2013 that I started to add memorials for my ancestors who were not memorialized. I am the keeper of the master genealogy database for the Cossitt Family Assn. and am also the webmaster and director of the Heinrich Frey Family Assn. I have added memorials for my direct ancestors and others who are in the Cossitt Family Assn. genealogy database as well as in the Heinrich Frey Family Assn. database. I have also added a few people that are closely connected with them, i.e. a second marriage etc., a couple of deceased friends, deceased Masonic Lodge brothers and other friends and neighbors. I am also the webmaster for my Masonic Lodge and have linked all of our deceased Past Masters to their findagrave.com memorials. In many cases I have had to create these memorials for our Past Masters and other officers as well as brothers that I got to know. Recently I have been working on my Hi School's 55th reunion and have come across some classmates for whom I have created memorials. If anyone is managing a memorial for one of my ancestors or a Cossitt or Frey or Past Master or member of my Lodge (Las Palmas-Ponderosa No. 366 in Fresno, CA) and wants to transfer management to me, I will be glad to accept it.
