I am a member of the DAR in Christian County, MO and also the Mary Whitney Phelp's chapter of the DUV in Springfield, MO . My ancestor for DUV is Leander Andrew A. Potter who fought for the Union in AR. He was the son of Benjamin Potter and Jane McCaig.
I have met many wonderful people through genealogy and always love to help my friends with their family searches. I have found that attending events like Ancestor Fairs and Genealogical Society events helps me connect with others and learn more about a subject that I am passionate about.
