I am Jane Elliott Kidd and I researched genealogy with my sister, Shirley Sherman for forty years. We have connection to Elliotts, Mannings, Mattinglys Leakes Pikes Goughs Yegers Fenwicks and many more. Our families came mostly from Maryland to Kentucky with the Catholic League and then from Kentucky to Missouri with the Catholic pioneers. We settled in Ralls county around 1828. My sister died last year and I have some of her many files and her gedcom. I did most of the leg work and she kept the files and entered them into our Elliott genealogy. Our great x3 grandmother, Anna Savilla Elliott was the owner of Martha Jane Tolton and her children, one of which was the first black priest in America, Father Augustus Tolton, now a candidate for sainthood.
