Grew up in a small town with a great history. Learned at an early age to appreciate family and value the stories of the people who came before me. I'm from a line of good people who worked hard, contributed to their communities, raised families that passed on those values and kept some decent records of the generations of ancestors.

Spent many summer days riding my bicycle to the cemetery outside of town with a friend or two and reading the headstones, imagining life as it was 100+ years before. Still love to walk in old cemeteries and find the stories they suggest of the human life cycle with it's variations of joy and sorrow.
