I first became interested in genealogy in high school when my maternal grandmother told me about her ancestors. Interestingly, her information was quite accurate. Then, when I asked my father about his family, he could tell me very little. So began a mission to try to figure out his family. It's been a challenge since they were in the southern states where so much historical information was destroyed in court house fires, etc. Since I retired genealogy has become a passion! I enjoying linking families together. I feel Find A Grave has helpful information for genealogists researching their family.
