I was born as Mary Helen Sandoval in Tucson, AZ, my parents were Ramon Moreno Sandoval and Aurelia Martan Salas. The family consisted of 2 boys and 1 female, me. My older brother passed away in 2007 due to his illnesses. My first 16 years, I grew up in Tucson. I went to the following schools: Tully Elementary School, John Spring Jr. High, Tucson High School. We moved to California in 1966 and continued my education at Anaheim High School. I also attended Bryman College to study Medical Assistant. At the time I finished the course, I was found to have Thyroid Cancer. I had the surgery and all came out ok. Finding a job was hard since I had two strikes against me. The recent surgery and experience. So needless to say, I did not stay in the medical field. I had to find a job at an insurance company. That was pretty much where I stayed my entire working time until I retired in 2011. I did work for different companies, but did about the same type of work. I now have 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren. I have been married twice, with the first marriage that failed. To date, I have been married 33 plus years to my second husband. I started doing ancestry work in 2012 along with my cousin. I have found many past and current family members and have found it to be very rewarding.
