Looking for any information on Maryella Ruth Lough, my Great Aunt, born 1/29/1940 to Esther Efnor Brown Lough and Dr. S. Allan Lough (married 6/12/1926). Allan Lough was senior physicist at the Atomic Energy Commission during the Manhattan Project, the Bikini Atoll blasts, plus oversaw the Fernald School radiated oatmeal experiments. He died a troubled man because of it.
Maryella Lough's last whereabouts was a psychiatric hospital somewhere in "upstate" New York in the late 1960's. She had the mental illness of Pseudocyesis, or false pregnancy. She apparently never improved. It's not right a woman can simply disappear & there be no record, & no one held accountable.
Maryella's maternal grandmother was Ella May Efnor (Brown), married to Ulysses Grant Brown.
Maryella's mother was my paternal Grandmother's (Ruth Madge Brown (Burket) sister.
