I have been doing family research for about 20 years. Most of my research is in the Kentucky, Tennessee, South Carolina, New York and Utah areas. Most of that is done online as I live in the West.
Photographing tombstones has become a new-ish hobby of mine. Especially when there are no photos of the family member available. I love old stories, whether true or fabricated, still fun to hear. Genealogy is my version of treasure hunting. I have many missing ancestors whose final resting place has moved or the names have been washed away by time.
I am trying to give back to others who have already photographed many cemeteries and grave markers in my area of online research by photographing locally.
