After my grand-father retired from carpentry, he was a grounds keeper for a small cemetery in central California. Each summer I visited my grandma and grandpa and my cousin and I loved to go to work with grandpa, particularly on mowing days. We would run behind the mower (at a safe distance) throughout the entire cemetery!

I think cemeteries are beautiful. They are peaceful and serene. When I travel, I enjoy visiting cemeteries throughout the United States and overseas.

I was introduced to Find A Grave by a friend and searched our family name. I found my Great, Great, Great Grand-Father and Mother thanks to a kind volunteer and I want to provide this same kindness to others.
