Part of my family moved from Jamestown to what is now Mecosta Co., MI, in 1840. My great grandfather, George Willard Green, established a marker in Highland View Cemetery for his family. I shall add more dates for relatives interred there at a later time, and photos where applicable. I believe Algernon Green was a brother to George, and he and George both served in the Union Army. This is documented in "Story of a Pioneer", autobiography of Dr. Anna Howard Shaw, whose sister Mary was married to George W. Green until her death.
