My great great grandfather was Henry S. Amerman from Morristown NJ. I am currently trying to track him back to Dirck Jannsen Amerman. His parents were David Amerman & Sarah Mesner/Mizner. David's parents were Gilbert Amerman & Mary Rial from Bernards NJ. That is where the trail gets tricky. I think Mary died shortly after David's birth in 1821, but cannot find anything to prove that. I also think Gilbert moved to Tompkins NY and married Philancy, but I also cannot prove that. Anyone with any info on Gilbert Amermans or Mary Rial (Riol/Royal) from the 1700s or early 1800s please reach out. (updated Jan 2025)
