I am a mother of two, grandmother of 9, currently raising three of those grandchildren. Does that make me a mother of 5, grandmother of 6? It's complicated.
I have always loved cemeteries. At one time I used to tend flowers around the Edgar Allen Poe grave in Baltimore because it was said that flowers wouldn't grow there. They did.
I taught my children early on to do gravestone rubbings and have attended several graveyard tours. I want to know the stories of all those people whose lives are recorded on all those stones.
