Most of my families escaped the heat & humidity of South Carolina to enjoy the pleasant atmosphere of South Georgia! Actually according to grandmother Kansas McKinney (mother Irene Ray) the wagon wheel fell off in what is now Ray City GA in Berrien County and they didn't have money to replace it so they settled there.
