I grew up in Woodstock, Illinois and am a descendant of the Schroeder/ Sahs/Switzer/Gray and Green/Knox/Dougherty/ Dacy families who lived in McHenry County, Illinois following their emigrations from Germany and Ireland. They are the primary focus of my 25-year family history research.

Now I live in Greenfield, Wisconsin, and spent much of 2015-2016 fulfilling requests for gravestone photos. I took a 10-month break from taking photos due to an incident at a cemetery where my car was broken into and my purse stolen. Now I'm back, and "caution" is my new middle name.
