Curator and Lake County Historian for the Lake County Forest Preserve, Bess Bower Dunn Museum of Lake County, Libertyville, Illinois.
I do a lot of research on Lake County, Illinois and the people who lived here, and also my own family's genealogy (Teeling, Griffin,Ryan, Sternhagen, Dretske). When I find information that can enhance an individual's Memorial I share it. FindaGrave is a great resource, which I use almost daily. I'm happy to contribute.
I also authored a book published by Southern Illinois University Press documenting the lives and Civil War service of a small cohort of men: "The Bonds of War: A Story of Immigrants and Esprit de Corps in Company C, 96th Illinois Infantry."
