Wife, Mother, Daughter, Woman, American, HUMAN, Registered Nurse - healthcare/human rights/equal rights advocate - currently dealing with my own health issues.

I am the oldest of 3 daughters of a British Mum, and a Chamorro (Guamanian) Dad ... a proud "Overseas Military BRAT",* as a child ... (the noun --- NOT the adjective ;) ... see below)

As a working adult, I traveled this nation as an RN Educator and Consultant, and spent some time as the Education Coordinator at a local hospital, after years as an Open Heart Surgical Nurse in the OR ... plus many more years in Medical/Surgical Nursing, Geriatrics, & Oncology.

I am now trying to find joy in my life with my 2 adult daughters and my husband, as I deal with my own health challenges, and their impact on my life ... on our family life.

I LOVE maintaining & researching mine & my husband's LARGE family tree. I have recently started creating "memorial pages" for the deceased members of our family, as well - hoping to link all of our family together.

For me, it is a way to honor & remember each member of our family who has passed, and have the opportunity to spend some time & leave a message and a flower in their memory ... as a lot of my family is located in various places around the world, I am unable to visit them in person.

*Origin of the term BRAT:

"BRAT status. It stands for: British Regiment Attached Traveler.
