I have been "in" to genealogy since I was a child. As a youngster, I would sit quietly in a corner of the room at family gatherings and listen to them tell stories. If only I could remember them all.
My grandmother & I would traipse through cemeteries long before Find A Grave was ever even thought of. She'd take photos of markers and write down all the information available, I did the driving. She is the one that sparked my love of family and genealogy.
While I have only assisted in a few requests for photos and information, I will help when I am not working.
I appreciate the work that others have done (and do) immensely.
My goal is to link my ancestors and their families together. Sort of "reuniting" them to speak.
If not the work of the volunteers on Find A Grave, this would be impossible. Many, many thanks to those who volunteer!
