Bio
I'm a retiree living near Oklahoma City who got interested in genealogy when I came across a lot of family heirlooms and information after my dad passed. I used to be an avid reader of mystery novels however genealogy scratches the itch for problem solving.
My family comes from Prussia and Wisconsin (dad's side) and England and southern Virginia/West Virginia (mom's side). The primary family names are Akers, Albrecht, Burton, and Stolte. My grandfather changed his name from Albrecht to Albright in 1914. Too early to have been due to WW I and the real reason has been lost to history.
