My Uncle was Pvt. Lawrence Bickford, N.H.
He was KIA in WWII in February, 1944. I never met him. Family history has always been sketchy. My family rarely discussed deceased family members.
I learned more about him than I ever knew, from the Find a Grave website. I know that he was raised in "The Dover Children's Home", which was a 1920 orphanage in NH. My Uncle had a very sad, young life and was killed at age 21.
All (5) of my New Hampshire, Uncles served in WWII, only Uncle Lawrence perished.
Thank you for finding him and for preserving his memory. I keep him in my heart, even though we had never met. RIP, Uncle Larry.
