My ancestors came in the early 1600s to New England, settling in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island; to Jamestowne and then the Tidewater region of Virginia; and to earliest Maryland. A few ancestors settled in the same era on Long Island and in New Jersey, coming to Pennsylvania in the early 1800s.
