∼I am researching and documenting the men who served with Company K, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, particularly during the years surrounding World War II.

My goal is to preserve their individual stories by locating military records, photographs, newspaper accounts, and other primary sources, and to make that information available to their families and future researchers.

When I request management of a memorial, it is not simply to collect memorials. It allows me to maintain the information, add newly discovered records and photographs, correct errors, and ensure that each man's service is documented as accurately and completely as possible. I will ensure that management of these memorials is transferred to their families whenever possible.

I feel a personal duty to these men. They served alongside members of my own family, and after more than eighty years, many of their stories are in danger of being forgotten. My hope is to preserve as much as I can while the records and photographs can still be found—and to give their families a place where their soldier's story can continue to grow.
