I was born in Lodi, Ca. and spent most of my summer vacations and holidays here at my Granny and Granddaddy's in Acampo or my Dad's near Harney In.

I've lived or been just about everywhere in this beautiful country over my forty years but have come home often to visit. Each time I return I'm struck by how different our little town is, bigger, faster, more modern.

But there's always those quite places I used to go with my grandparents. Special spots where I played under tall Eucalyptus trees granddaddy planted as saplings in the thirties. Secret brambles of blackberry bushes along the river bank that granny and I'd pick from to bake the most delicious cobblers... Hidden places time's forgotten which still make Lodi feel like home.

After a decade in the South I've returned to my roots (again) to roost. Having three generations before me and two after working, living, growing, loving and dying here I'm connected to the local cemeteries. Not because I believe the spirits of those lost remain there but because I sense the joy and serenity of Freedom they feel.
