Thank you for reading my profile. I have been earnestly pursuing genealogy research for 27 years. With the large number of records I have posted, occasionally there is an error. This could be from an inputting error or lack of due diligence. I welcome each and every correction.

My Family Historian file now has more than 441,707 individuals, all of which were personally researched by me. A major portion of the file relates to Jones County, Iowa and adjacent counties.

About twenty-seven years ago, this New Yorker began researching the family of my maternal grandmother, Mary Agnes Soper Healy. Several Soper families settled in Jones County, Iowa in 1847. I have visited the area often. A copy of my file is available for perusal at the Anamosa Library and Learning Center in Anamosa, Jones County, Iowa.

In June 2022, I photographed all the readable tombstones (approximately 2000 photos) in four cemeteries in Carrickbeg and Carrick-on-Suir, County Tipperary, Ireland. As a result, I have added approximately 5,000 records with photos to Find A Grave.

One year ago, I began systematically reviewing all Find a Grave records for cemeteries in Jones County, Iowa. I saw an opportunity to edit, update, or link thousands of records. I have completed reviews of Riverside and Mayflower cemeteries. Currently, I am working through Oakwood records.

In addition to the 6,073 memorials I have added to Find a Grave, more than 66,000 edits I have submitted to memorials have been accepted by other contributors.
