I have been researching my family since the 1970's, when Roots came out and people caught the geneology bug. I am researching my family, Baity (various spelling) and Parrott. My husband's Crowe and Grantham. I love what I do and know all the jokes about being addicted to looking up the dead, as my family calls it. It makes the ones that came before, live again.
