Freedom isn't free! Many thanks to all veterans past, present, and future! And thanks to America's first rebels (especially my distant cousin, Samuel Adams) for fighting to lay the foundation for what the USA is today and with God, granting us all the many freedoms that we enjoy, yet so very many (sadly) take for granted!

A very huge THANK YOU to my distant cousin,Harry , for all the family photos and the (very extensive) family history that you sent me. You are appreciated more than words can say! Sending you and your family love and many blessings every day!! I wish I could thank all of our ancestors for preserving our family history for the very many descendants of our brave, hard working, resilient, salt of the earth forefather and his wife! If not for them we wouldn't be here!

Submitted edits that are obits or excerpts from newspaper obits or funeral home websites will be declined. This website is called Find A Grave not find an obituary!!

Death records from the 1800's and 1900's and obits in newspapers don't always contain accurate information or accurate burial information, so I will not add unreliable information to the memorials that I have created . Newspapers from the 1800's and 1900's are not legal documents. In the 13 + years that I have been doing research and "grave hopping" I have experienced many interesting scenarios , have gained valuable knowledge, and discovered numerous people that have been buried in one location and years later, reburied somewhere else. Obits contain information about living individuals and I will not add that info or other very personal information to the memorials that I have created and it's not a requirement for this website! If you see an obit on a memorial that I have created, it's because another contributor made a duplicate of a memorial that I already created and then suggested a merge of the two memorials, which is beyond my control. I'm doing my best to remedy that information from being displayed.

To the Find A Grave contributors that actually do real "leg work" by travelling to cemeteries at your own expense, walking sometimes very large cemeteries, using your time, your camera, and taking (clear, well cropped) pics of headstones/footstones in the heat, humidity, and the cold, a huge HIGH FIVE from me! I highly respect that, as I have done all of that myself!
