I started my genealogy journey watching my Uncle Herman and Uncle Bob. I dove in deeper when a son gifted me with Family Tree Maker (way back when it was on 5.25" disks). And I was really "hooked" when I discovered via a "shaky leaf" that a granduncle had been vetted on an SAR application, and I realized that I was therefore probably eligible for DAR through the same Patriot.
