My West Virginia roots began with my 3rd grt grandpa, William D Ellison, first buying land in 1850 on Beech in Calhoun County. Himself and Margaret raised 8 children marrying into families over the years such as Jarvis, Hunt, Cottrell, Harold, Starcher, and several others. We come back home to Calhoun and Roane counties 2-3 times a year visiting cemeteries and paying our respect to our families, and always discovering something new.

My lineage would be William, Nathaniel, Josiah, Rastus, and my dad, Richard Ellison.
