I've always enjoyed walking through cemeteries and checking out the dates on the markers. Sometimes I like to look at surrounding markers and try to piece the families together. When I see the forgotten/neglected graves I'm sad. Some of the markers/stones are tilted, broken, overgrown or hard to read. Everyone has a story, even the ones that were here for only a few days or years.
After reading this article I started saying their names out loud.
~ The first death is the moment you first really realize your days here are limited, that you are mortal and that dying is inevitable. This is the first ripple that kicked you out of blissful ignorance. The second death is the the death of your body that'll be put in the ground. But the third one… Oh the third one is heart breaking – it is the last time someone says your name.
